Im really starting to hate attachment... but im damn happy the NYP students are here. Becoz i wont feel so lonely liao. The first day they came i dunno why so excited. Keep talking to them then give them a bit of ward orientation.

Anyway.. theres going to be a presentation 2 weeks later.

Oh yea, there's this super cute 3 yr old girl in my ward. im quite close to her and everyone calls her my Goddaughter. =DDD
not bad man. next time show you all picture. =PP
but kids can be super irritating.. she PURPOSELY urine on the cot bed so i can carry her down and she can run around the ward. =.=

Today i heard smth on the radio which i never thought it would be possible.

Apparantly, a british guy "recovered" from AIDS himself. When he was tested positive for AIDs, he only ate vitamins and supplements and NO medication. And then bout a year later he did another bld test and it showed he was NEGATIVE. That means his body cleared the HIV itself!!

In school, my group always kenna project topics on SEX diseases and AIDS. I know this sounds wrong but Im really into AIDS topic as much as UFOs and sharks. I still remember that time i cracked so much brain juice trying to understand the pathophysiology of HIV and its not that simple.

Em if you want i can explain a little to you how simple yet complicated HIV is. Well.. firstly.. it all starts from a virus attack. When HIV invades your body, your immune system is strong enough to destroy them. But the thing is.. the virus is able to attach itself to the white blood cells and MAKE USE of your own cells to produce their replicate viral cells INSIDE your cells. So.. on one hand, your body is constanly killing the HIV but on the other hand, they are not able to eliminate it totally. Gradually, the white bld cells lvl will be destroyed and reach a very low lvl and will show symptoms of AIDS. And they will die of other infections due to weak immune system.

I always think that.. probably the only way to not let them die is to isolate them so they wont be exposed to any infections.. but its really hard i think..

Thats why im SO impressed if the guy really killed all the HIV in his own body.. its really a medical breakthrough.. think of all the fame he can get. =P




If someday HIV can be cured..

i wonder if its a good thing..
